Painting and decorating service for London
Why does New Space offer a separate painting and decorating service? Quite simply, our skilled painters and decorators have received so many accolades from delighted customers who came to us for a loft conversion, extension, bathroom or refurbishment that we decided to offer painting and decorating as a standalone service.
Our painting and decorating services include:
- interior painting
- exterior painting
- wallpapering
- plastering
- tiling walls and floors.
Why use New Space painters and decorators?
Using a professional painting and decorating service may cost more than DIY, but it can mean a real saving in terms of efficiency, expertise and peace of mind – so long as the painters and decorators you hire have the knowledge, skills and commitment to do a great job. New Space hires only highly skilled tradesmen who:
- use the best quality tools and materials
- make attention to detail their watchword and
- are committed to customer satisfaction.
Our decorating expertise at your service
Some of our clients admit to being bewildered by the vast array of paint and wallpaper available nowadays. A classic standard paint from Dulux, or a specialist paint from Farrow and Ball: which better reflects the character of your room? What type of paint will work best: liquid gloss, satinwood or eggshell?
What about emulsion: matt, satin or silk? Traditional wallcoverings or a smooth plaster finish: what are the advantages and disadvantages of each?
On questions like these, our decorating experience is invaluable.
Preparation, preparation, preparation!
Applying the final touch of paint and standing back to admire the finished work may be the most exciting moment in a decorating project. But good painters and decorators such as ours know that the real key to an attractive and durable finish is thorough preparation.
Depending on the painting and decorating project, our craftsmen’s painstaking preparation will include many – and often all – of the following:
- removing every scrap of existing wallpaper from walls and ceilings
- filling all plaster cracks
- sanding and rubbing down plaster for a smooth finish
- filling splits in wood
- filling gaps and breaks with caulk or sealant
- sanding wood surfaces.
To secure a good quality, sharp finish, our painters and decorators will take the time to remove – or, where this is not possible, mask carefully – items such as door knobs, radiators and shelving, rather than simply painting around them.
